The USAskates.net shopping cart asks for the billing address for the credit card. Do I need to fill this information in?
For security purposes, we verify the billing information on every order. If you are using a credit card that was issued by a bank in the United States, this information can be verified by our shopping cart very quickly. Thus, entering the correct information helps us process your order as quickly as possible. If you do not enter the correct billing information your order will be delayed. In many cases the incorrect billing information results in multiple emails or phone calls to you and to the bank that issued the credit card. Getting approval in this manner can delay your order from 2 to 10 business days (depending on your banks policies).
If you are using a credit card that was issued by a bank outside of the United States we will most likely need to contact your bank directly. This process can usually be completed in less than 2 weeks. Please be aware that some banks will not verify the billing information over the phone. If that is the case we will decline the use of that card and request a different card number. We understand that you may have used your card all over the world and that many other companies may have accepted it. However we feel very strongly about fraud prevention. We have no way of knowing if the voice on the other end of the phone is you or the person who just stole your credit card. If the bank does not verify the billing information we will not accept the credit card. That is our policy and there are no exceptions.
How much is ground shipping in the continental United States?
The following table can be used to calculate shipping rates for orders that do not have Jerry's products on them, and that are being shipped to an address within the continental United States via UPS Ground.

What other shipping methods do you offer besides ground shipping?
We offer many other shipping methods such as UPS 3 Day Select, UPS 2nd Day Air and UPS Next Day Air. After you place the items you want in the shopping cart you can enter your shipping address. Then you can look at the drop menu of all the shipping methods we offer for your address and their respective prices. You do not have to enter any credit card information to view the shipping methods and prices.
How are shipping days calculated and how long will it take for my order to be delivered.
This information only applies to orders being shipped to an address in the continental United States. "Shipping Days" are days when the shipping carrier, like UPS, has your package. "Shipping Days" DO NOT ever include Saturdays, Sundays, the day that the package is picked up from us by UPS or any major holidays (like Christmas Day or New Year's Day).
For example, let's say your order ships out on Monday and you chose UPS 3 Day Select. Your order would be delivered in 3 shipping days. Since the package was picked up from our warehouse on Monday, Monday does not count as a shipping day. Tuesday would be the first shipping day, Wednesday would be the second and Thursday would be the third shipping day. Thus, your package that was shipped on Monday via UPS 3 Day Select would be delivered on Thursday. If you had chosen UPS 2nd Day Air for the same package it would have been delivered on Wednesday (the second shipping day). If you had chosen UPS Next Day Air it would have been delivered on Tuesday (the first shipping day).
If you have any specific shipping needs (ie. a specific delivery date) you will need to let us know BEFORE you place the order.
Please note: The above example references a day that the order was shipped on, NOT the day that the order was placed. Orders are typically shipped within 1 to 2 business days from the day they are placed, unless otherwise noted on our website. If you need an order shipped sooner than that, please contact us to make arrangements before placing the order. We will not offer refunds or discounts for shipping requirements you may have that we are not aware of.
What about shipping to Alaska and Hawaii?
There are less shipping options available for addresses in Alaska and Hawaii. After you place the items you want in the shopping cart you can enter your shipping address. Then you can look at the drop menu of all the shipping methods we offer for your address and their respective prices.
Do you ship to P.O. Boxes?
UPS is our main shipping provider and they do not currently ship to P.O. Box addresses. Please feel free to contact us HERE for a quote on shipping.
Do you ship to Military APO / FPO addresses?
We are happy to ship to Military APO / FPO addresses. However we can not guarantee delivery times to these addresses.
If UPS does not deliver my package on time, will USAskates.net refund my shipping cost?
UPS does guarantee the delivery time of their air services, like 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air. UPS's policy is that if there is a delay in shipping that was their fault (ie. a misplaced package, or a package sent to the wrong address) then they will refund the cost of shipping. Since USAskates.net is the shipper they will send the refund to us. Once we receive the refund from UPS, we will refund the shipping cost you paid. UPS will not refund the shipping cost in situations where the delay is through no fault of their own. For example tornados, floods, snow, hurricanes and other acts of God and nature are not reasons for a refund. While they may cause a delay, they are not in UPS's control.
UPS Ground shipping is not a guaranteed service and no refunds will be offered regardless of any delays that may occur.
Does USAskates.net ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to many countries outside of the U.S. Please see shipping information for rates and restrictions or email us for questions you may have about our policies and international shipping rates.
If my order is shipped to an address outside of the United States, will I have to pay any extra taxes or fees?
If there are any additional taxes, fees, duties or customs charges they would be added on by your particular country's government. Thus, they are completely out of our control. These fees go to, and are controlled by, your particular country's government. You will need to check with your local government office for further information regarding the importation of ice skating products and any associated taxes or fees.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Our orders are typically processed in 2 business days. Shipping time varies based on what method you choose. Regular ground shipping usually takes 4-7 business days. Please see our shipping information page for additional information.
Is everything in stock and ready to be shipped on your site?
Most items are in stock, however, there are cases when items do sell out or have to be made or ordered. If by chance, an item you ordered is not in stock, one of our customer service agents will email you within a day to inform you. Please make sure your contact information is valid.
I have a return, what do I do?
Please call or email customer service in order to be issued a Return Authorization number. This will ensure that your return goes to the right place and that you are refunded or exchanged in a timely fashion. Please check our return policy for a full explanation of our policies regarding returns.
Do my skates need to be waterproofed?
If you have leather soles on your skates, we do suggest you have them waterproofed. This will ensure that your skates will last much longer and prevent the leather from rotting. It is an excellent way to protect your investment.
Why is my order on hold?
More than likely your order is on hold for one of a few reasons. Your item may be out of stock, or may need to be made for you. If this is the case, you will be emailed. Another possibility is that there is an issue with the credit card you used for the purchase. We do verify billing information to prevent fraud. If the billing address does not match up, your order will be placed on hold and we will notify you.
Do you accept PayPal?
Yes! We have recently begun accepting PayPal for your convenience.
Will you spam me if I provide my email address?
We do not spam. You will receive 2 emails from us when you place your order. The first is a copy of your order and the second is a tracking number. Occasionally, we will email you if we are having a special sale that might be of interest to you. However, we never sell or give away our customers information.
Are special orders returnable?
Unfortunately, they are not. Once you order a specially made boot, blade, skating dress or any other specially made product we cannot accept returns or exchanges on it. Also, skates or skate blades that have been sharpened and boots that have been waterproofed or had blades mounted on them can not be returned. Sometimes special orders can take months to be made. We try to give you an accurate time frame on when you can expect delivery, so your patience is greatly appreciated. Also please be sure that the size and model you order is the one you need. Our customer service agents are here to assist you with whatever questions you have.
Do you price match?
We will consider price matches on a case by case basis. They will have to be manager approved.
Do you offer discounts for teams or bulk purchases?
We will consider pricing discounts on team purchases. Please contact our customer service representative with what product you are interested in and the amount you wish to purchase.
Are shoe sizes and skate sizes the same?
Almost always, the answer to this question is no. Each skate company has their own individual sizing charts that you must either measure yourself for or get fitted for. Our sizing section found here:

How do I know what size blade I will need?
The best and most accurate way for you to size a blade to a boot is to flip the boot over and measure it in inches from heel to toe. The measurement should still fit on the boot itself. Please remember that blades come in ¼ increments. Occasionally, some blades will come in 1/3 increments. If you do not have the boot with you or are purchasing the boots and blades from us, please write us a note in the designated section during your online checkout process. We will be happy to size the blade for you.
Do you sharpen blades, waterproof or do mounting?
